The City of Covington is accepting sealed proposals from qualified licensed contractors to perform building modifications and improvements at the property located at 5144 Turner Street. The project includes enclosing an existing opening in a metal building, installing roll-up doors and a walk-through door, structural floor installation over an existing dumpster pit, insulation upgrades, installation of an exhaust fan, and repair of exterior building damage. Sealed proposals must be delivered to City Hall, 2194 Emory Street NW, Covington, GA 30014, Attn: Scott Cromer no later than 10:00 am on Thursday, April 23, 2026. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of Treasury, Circular 570, (latest edition) A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place at 10:00am on Thursday, April 9,2026 at the proposed site location.
