ORDER OF THE NEWTON COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS AND REGISTRATION WHEREAS, O.C.G.A. SS 21-2-265 provides that the Newton County Board of Elections and Registration is responsible for the selection and fixing of a polling place within each precinct and may change the polling place within any precinct; and WHEREAS, in accordance with O.C.G.A. SS 21-2-265, notice of the proposed polling place changes for the Rocky Plains Precinct were advertised in The Covington News, the legal organ of Newton County, on weekend edition on, February 15, 2026, February 21, 2026 and February 28, 2026 NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED by the Newton County Board of Elections and Registration that the precinct and polling places be advertised for change as follows: 1. The location of the Rocky Plains polling place is hereby to change from Harvest Church 2075 Highway 212 Covington, Ga to Spring Hill Park and Recreation Center 757 Lower River Road Covington, Ga 30016.
